The GOODBYES Model Breakdown

The GOODBYES model consists of 7 key steps, each represented by a letter of the word "GOODBYES." Each step is designed to guide the conversation or process of ending, ensuring that all aspects are acknowledged and addressed.

  1. G - Gratitude
    Express appreciation for the experiences, relationships, and learning gained. Gratitude fosters a positive mindset and ensures that the ending is seen as part of a meaningful journey.
    • Example: When a team member is leaving the organisation, express gratitude for their contributions and the value they brought to the team.
